Meet Bouey, a fabulous 2 year old male purebred Labrador. He's a white purebred lab and is really a good looking fella. Especially when he is carrying his tennis ball around.
Bouey is a great dog. He was purchased from a breeder by his owner at 8 weeks and lived a loved life until recently when his owner moved out of the country. His owner was basicaly a good owner in many ways other than he didn't take enough time to find Bouey a home before departing and becuase ot that, Bouey ended up at a shelter. Pretty horrible.
Bouey is trained. He knows all his commands including play dead and shake. He's good on leash too and he is an obedient boy who wants to please.
He is still young and has a lot of energy. This fella needs a lot of exercise each and every day. He needs dog park, jogging, ball tossing, hikes, beach time and general fun times with his owner and other dogs. He has a love of life and he is a dog that knows how to enjoy himself.
Bouey is a wonderful fella who will make a lucky someone or lucky family very happy. He's a plug and play guy. Housebroken, trained, and ready to go to a knew home. All that's left is a committed person who will provide this youngster the exercise he needs.
Bouey is great with other dogs. We don't know about cats so no cats for Bouey. He's a good boy in the house and loves his toys, so lots of toys and balls and kongs for this youngster.
Bouey is good in the car and loves to go places with you. He's great on leash and passes other dogs nicely.
Bouey likes kids but we think he is too young and wiggly for toddlers. No kids under 7 for this guy.
He's neutered, healthy, up to date on vaccines, and snuggly adorable.
If you feel this gorgeous purebred is right for you, and you have been officially approved to adopt, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Meet the most handsome stud around! Jack August is an absolutely beautifully bred Labrador male who looks exactly like what a Lab SHOULD look like. He's a arguably show quality boy with a giant block head and stocky frame - a perfect otter tail, round cat-like paw, and a snuggle that will knock your socks off. Yup, this fella is Keeeeeeute!
Jack is a 7-8 year old paie cream yellow boy. He is a doll. Just loves absolutely everyone. This wiggler is very Labilicious with superior temperament and a happy, frisky personality that is fun when you want and mellow when you need.
Jack came to us a full year after his owners decided they couldn't keep him any longer. They had been told to go through rescue but didn't "trust" that option instead opting to choose the new "owners" of Jack themselves. As is almost ALWAYS the case, they did not know what they were doing. Poor Jack who at the time was not altered, never did get altered, never did get to sleep in the house, and even after a good 5 months with a severe eye infection, he was never treated. When the NEW "Owners" realized that if they did not cough up some money, Jack could lose his eye, they called rescue. Typical.
Well after spending oodles of money on myriad antibiotics, test, and treatments, and after neutered and bringing Jack current on vaccines, microchipping, et. al, this doll is healthy as can be and ready for a new forever home like the one he always should have had to begin with.
Jack loves dog park and any park actually. He loves his leash walks and can pull a bit in the beginning as he is so happy to go. Like Ferdinand the bull, he really is just pulling to the nearest flower to smell it. He's a calm guy and he just loves life.
Jack is wonderful wth other dogs as well. He is fostered with a Golden Retrieve in training for companion assistance and he is also with another Labrador in his foster home. He is fostered with 3 cats and is fine with them though we can pretty much promise you he will chase cats for a good few weeks in the beginning. If you have dog savvy cats and don't mind them hiding for a couple of weeks, you can consider Jack. If you mind, look elsewhere.
Jack will do great with owners who will take him on lots of outings. He loves being with his people and getting attention. He deserves to have much of it and not spend workdays laying in a yard all the time.
He'll do fine as your one and only but will do even better with a friendly companion. Maybe even a nice female would be fun for Jackie boy!
Jack is housebroken and using his foster Dad's doggie door. He's not destructive and is calm in the home.
Jack has a good strong Labby bark making you feel very safe in your home, but he is not a watchdog preferring to instead cuddle with "intruders" as all Labs and Goldens are want to do.
Jack's foster dad is a pilot and Jack has spent lots of time flying around in his foster dad's plane. He's a good boy in the plane and excellent in the car too.
If you feel this neutered, healthy boy who is up to date on vaccines and microchipped is right for you, please email email@example.com.
Please do not email if you are not homechecked and approved or you will not recieve a response.
Lovingly sponsored by Ilene Lacey in honor of all her Golden Girls.
Meet Olivia. This golden fur baby is a 6 year old purebred golden retriever female and she really is as good as gold in every way.
Olivia is about 60 lbs and a more petite girl. She is gentle, sweet, and extremely "velcro". Live has dealt this perfect angle a sorry hand and we intent to do all we can to make the rest of her life the best it can be!
Olivia came to us from our sister rescue in Taiwan. Olivia was found as a stray on the streets of Taiwan with a cardboard sign attached to her skinny body asking for some nice person to take her home with them. She was barely a skeleton and missing a lot of fur. She was in horrendous condition with no chance for adoption. As luck would have it she was picked up and taken to a man who wanted a dog. And although that short period provided food and an outside shack adequate enough for this special girl to remain somewhat alive, it wasn't until the man saw his way clear to giving her to our rescue partner one day when he didn't want her anymore, that her true life began.
When rescued by our volunteer Claudia, Olivia was finally taken to a real vet, given good medical care, and put INSIDE a wonderful home where we have kept her until recently. Finally a healthy, strong, and perfect baby, our girl was able to make the trip to us here in Los Angeles where she is learning even more about how to be treasured and spoiled as she always should have been.
Olivia is a very gentle girl who would fit nicely in any home with or without other canine or feline companions She loves other dogs but doesn't need them as much as she needs her people. We haven't had her around any young children as of yet but we think because of her docile nature she would be a perfect addition to any family with kids - even small kids.
She REALLY loves the car! She will wait by her foster mommy's van and wait for the door to slide open so she can jump right in and settle into her seat and then look out the window to watch all the cars go by. She loves to be part of the adventure.
This girl enjoys her food and because of her being on the lighter side she is getting a special stew made for her to put some more weight on. She can be a bit of a counter surfer but her foster mommy is teaching her that it's not polite behavior.
Olivia is doing beautiful on her housebreaking and is not destructive in the home.
Olivia is a golden beauty that will stick to her humans like Velcro. She's used to getting lots of hugs and kisses from her foster mama and really likes the extra special attention. Olivia will sometimes bark if she cannot see you and wants to be close. She is getting over this behavior very well. However to continue to ease her into her new life, we really dont' want her to go to a home where she will be left alone all day every day in a yard. She deserves a lot more attention than that and becuase she is so mellow and gentle, you can take her to work or she will do beautifully laying at your feet while you work from home.
Olivia walks beautifully on the leash and holds her head up high as she prances down the street like a pretty show dog passing other dogs so nicely and saying hello to all.
She is doing great with her foster brother and sister retrievers. She's a bit on the shy side and watches them run around the yard playing fetch with a tennis ball. Certainly this girl never had toys to play with while growing up but we are pretty sure she will be chewing Nylabones and grabbing squeaky toys with her soft mouth real soon.
This love bug is a very special gentle girl. She deserves the very best. Olivia is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this bunny is right for your heart and home and you have been approved to adopt, please follow up with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org

Meet Oliver Bailey, or "Olly"! This gorgeous 7 year old purebred yellow male Lab is a special boy. He is pretty much perfect in every way.
You see, Olly only has about 50% of his vision and would love a forever home that knows just how special he is!
Olly came to us from a loving family who got him as a puppy at just 6 weeks old from a breeder in California. He has been loved his entire life! His family had two young toddlers who Olly was gentle with. Sadly, one of the children became allergic to dogs meaning their beloved Olly had to find a new home. Olly cannot be placed with small children however as he is visually challenged.
Oliver Bailey has Progressive Retinal Atrophy or PRA, a common condition in Labradorw which causes them to eventually lose some or even all of their vision. It is not painful and requires no care. Presently, Olly has 50% of his vision and gets around very well. Over time Olly will lose more vision and will likely go blind. There is no pain and no special care to be given to Olly's eyes, in fact Olly is just fine! However, we think it is good for Olly to find his new forever now so he will have the lay of the land as his vision decreases.
Olly is well trained! He knows all his commands of sit, down, stay, shake and leave it and is completely housebroken, using a doggie door. He is fabulous on leash and a great car rider. He hops right in the car on his own and will just sit down to enjoy the ride.
Olly is perfect with all other dogs and is fostered with 4 other labs.
Olly is truly 7 years young enjoying his walks, swimming in the pool, and hiking. He is also mellow and easy going in the home, so if you can't take him out for a walk one day, he is fine with that too!
Olly is already starting to use his sense of smell and sound to make up for his loss of vision! And he doesn't to mind that he's losing some sight - like all dogs, sight is not the most important sense to a dog trailing far behind scent and hearing.
Olly should not go to a home with a lot of stairs, and if there is a pool in his new home, it must be fenced in order to keep Olly safe. Olly should have a home with another friendly canine companion, but he could be an only dog as long as his family is not gone long hours at work every day. Olly should not go to a home with young kids under age 7. While Olly was fabulous with the toddlers he lived with previously, young kids tend to leave objects around and move furniture making a sight challeged dog have a harder time navigating.
Olly is really a wonderful dog! His foster parents and an IndiLab Board Member are just in love with this boy!! Yes he is losing his vision, but it won't hold him back from living a full and happy life! And he will do as well as any seeing dog in his home.
Oliver Bailey is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you think you can give a loving forever home to this special boy, be sure to complete an application to adopt and follow up with an email to email@example.com

Meet Venus Love! The prettiest golden girl ever. This girl is pure sweetness and just wants a family to call her very own. Venus Love is a medium to smaller sized purebred baby. She has the lovliest eyes and an even lovlier personality.
Venus was found as a homeless stray on the streets of Taiwan and lovingly nursed back to health by the rescue there. She is about six years old and perfect in every way. Calm, loving, patient and beautiful too.
Venus is good on a leash, has great house manners, is not a barker, is wonderful with the other dogs and her coat is so soft you just want to nuzzle into her.
She is being fostered with six other dogs from two to fourteen and gets along with dogs of any age.
Venus Love is low key and only wants a belly rub and a little walk to make her happy. She is a carefree princess who only wants the simplest pleasures in exchange for so much love!
She is great in the car and is so well mannered she is welcome anywhere. Her foster mom and dad are loving having her as a house guest! And she even sits and waits patiently in line at mealtime. What a good girl!
Venus can make your dreams come true and you can make her's come true as well. This treasure deserves only the best of the best homes out there. And she is well worth it. Her life up until not long ago wasn't the greatest. And it should have been all along.
Venus is a healthy girl who is spayed up to date on vaccines and spayed.
If you feel this angel is right for you, and you have been approved to adopt already, feel free to contact us to learn more. To meet Venus, email her representative at firstname.lastname@example.org
Yankee adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Carol Sweeney in honor of the Goodman Family
Meet Yankee, a cream, bench bred English Labrador of 4-5 years. This beautifully bred fellow has a block head and near perfect conformation. He also has has his dewclaws removed leading us to believe he is an AKC registered Labrador.
Hard to imagine this gorgeous boy was in the isolation ward at a local high kill shelter when his foster mom went in to look at a different dog. She asked to meet him, and it was love at first pat. It was a good thing she was there that day or Yankee would have been euthanized. Yankee was filthy, looking like he'd been sleeping under cars, but his foster was able to see the beauty in him. After a thorough bath, this is what Yankee looks like. We think he's quite handsome and we bet you agree!
Yankee gets along with both of his foster Labrador sisters whome he adores. He also likes his foster sisters the kitties as well. In fact he wants to play with them though he has gotten a few good swats letting him know they don't necessarily want to play with him.
He is wonderful with older children, and probably little ones too, as he isn't a jumper and is a mellow guy. Unfortunately he takes treats far too roughly to be with toddlers or small children so though he is calm and gentle, older children will be best.
This sweetheart has about 5 pounds to gain as you can see all of his ribs. He was starving when we got him. In fact at that time he showed a bit of possessivness wit his food. Since then he is much, much better with his food, and does even better every day. His foster mom can now take his entire food bowl away from him while he east.
Yankee is doing great on the leash. He does best on a gentle leader or pinch collar but honestly as each day passes, even that won't be necessary.
He is apparently house broken, up to date on his shots and flea medication and ready for his forever family. He must be neutered in order to finalized his adoption. His new family will be so very lucky to have this stunning Labrador.
He is being fostered in South Pasadena and is just waiting for the best forever home!
If you are an approved family and are interested in this wonderful boy please contact email@example.com
Abbott adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Chris Lahoda in honor of of JoJo and Bodhi
NEW & IMPROVED!! Meet Abbott! This purebred male is just about 6 years old and has a stunning golden yellow or fox red coat. This boy is a typical happy lab who just loves snuggling up with his humans and will win you over with his sweet doe eyes! He is a sweet, loving boy who is looking for a his new forever family to shower him with affection.
Abbott came to us from a high kill shelter where he clearly didn't belong! Who can say no to those loving eyes! Abbott is a happy wiggly lab who loves to greet you with his perfect labbie smile & tail wag! He knows his command of sit very well, and will give his paw to you very willingly. He is learning his other commands in his new foster home.
Abbott is so well mannered and mellow in the house! He really is the perfect house guest! He just loves to sit next to his people for some pets and affection. He will sit next to you all day long if you pet him - and he will give you sweet, gentle kisses too - what a doll this boy is! He is also completely housebroken and even uses the doggie door in his foster home!
We moved Abbott to a new foster home last week so he could learn how not to pull on leash and wow did it work!! Abbott is now a fabulous walking companion! He needs just one or two minor corrections as you walk out the door, and then he walks beautifully, never pulling at all! As you get ready to leave the house for a walk, he will even sit and wait at an open door for you to give the "ok" to walk outside with him. He is just lovely on leash!
Abbott is great with all other dogs. He is now fostered with a dominant male lab and a sweet female lab and the three of them are peas in a pod! Abbott is as sweet as can be with other dogs and people. Mostly Abbott just loves being next to his people. He will sit up next to anyone he meets and look up at you with his sweet eyes waiting to be pet. If you stop petting him you might find him lift a paw up to you to remind you he is there waiting for your love!
Abbott is not a barker or chewer or digger and is a really good boy. Abbott loves everyone he meets! He would even make a good therapy dog with the way he just loves to sit next to every person he meets.
Like many Labs, Abbott loves water and is really enjoying the pool at his foster home! He will go in for a dip in the pool and then enjoys just laying in the sun after. He would likely enjoy a pool, trips to the lake or even dog beach!
Overall Abbott is a low to medium energy boy, where given a couple nice walks each day he will settle nicely. He sleeps soundly in his spot next to your bed all night long without making a peep. What a good boy he is!
Abbott would do well with another doggie companion or as your one and only.
Abbott is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his shots and flea control.
If you think you can give this boy the sweet love and affection he deserves, please be sure to fill out an application to adopt and contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Pickett adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Lynn Hardwell in honor of her Golden Sam
Meet Picket, a near perfect 3-4 year old purebred male Labrador. He has a perfect blocky head, sweet expression and is a nice smaller-medium sized Labrador.
Picket is a dark yellow - almost fox red Lab. His nose is liver and he is really a very good looking boy. For now, he is very much underweight but in just about 10 lbs from now, this studly boy will be the best looking fella on the block.
Pickett is a very nice, very sweet Labrador. As nice and as pretty as he is, he was still found at an extremely high kill shelter and would have been euthanized had we not taken him in. I know we say it often, but that is becuase it happens all the time...some of the nicest purebred Labs can be found in some of the most horrendous "shelters" out there. We don't know why this happens but we sure are glad to break them out to safety and make their new families happy when they see how great their new dog is!
Pickett is a young affectionate boy who is loving his foster home. His foster mom says he is her favorite foster so far and that is quite a compliment as she has had some pretty nice Labbies in her home.
He gets very excited to go on walks and is doing great learning his manners such as waiting for foster mom to exit the door first while waiting calmly. Pickett tends to pull on the leash but on the new style gentle leader collar he is walking like a true prince! And he seems to like it! His new family should be able to transition back to a standard collar with just a little practice.
Picketts foster mom has been teaching him commands! So far he knows sit, shake and stay!!!! He looks to his persona and has a sincere desire to please making him an exceptionally easy to train Labrador.
Pickett would be a great walking or jogging partner as he loves to go and he loves to be with you. He would also love hikes and would be a great companion to go just about anywhere with. He loves to play ball and we are sure he would enjoy dog beach and visits to dog park as well.
He has a prance in his step and looks very regal as he trots across the lawn! He could be a yoga master as he enjoys his stretched and his downward dog form is perfect! He is very zen in the house too!
Pickett is your typical Labrador who loves everyonehe meets and offers his paw to shake hands. He settles nicely in thehouse and loves the companionship of his foster family members.
Pickett is non-destructive and completely housebroken as well.
We do not know about cats so for now, no kitties for Pickett. And we think he will do find with older children over age 5. He would also be gentle with elderly people and may be a good candidate to do therapy work if you so desire.
This fella is a healthy boy who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All that's needed now is the right family to treasure him forever.
Beautiful Bonnie Li is our newest treasure. This white beautiful purebred female Labrador is just about 5 years of age and a wonderful medium size at only 60 lbs.
Bonnie Li comes to us from our sister rescue in Taiwan where she has been in foster care for a year after being pulled from a government pound. She was originally a street dog and is so fortunate to have made it out of the pound alive.
This sweet and gentle girl is a very mellow, easy going sweetheart. She loves people and adores her time just lounging and being by your side. She is a great dog to watch a movie with or cuddle with yet you can still do a fun hike when you are in the mood. She is the perfect mix of medium energy and couch potato rolled into one adorable white polar bear cub.
Bonnie Li loves children and we think she will go great in a home with kids. However like any large breed dog, she can knock a toddler down.
Bonnie Li is very good with other dogs but can at times be choosy about who her best friends will be. She can be a little picky and is known to bark and then run away from dogs she doesn't want to hang out with. Overall she loves other dogs thougha nd we think that she will do wonderfully in a home with another friendly canine companion. We also think she will do well as an only dog.
We have not tested Bonnie Li with kitties so we prefer not to place her with cats.
Bonnie Li is a non-destructive and easy going house dog. She sticks to her own things for the most part though from time to time may think your socks or other items are a toy. She is not a barker or chewer and is a really good indoor dog.
Bonnie Li is housebroken and will use a doggie door if shown where it is in your home.
Bonnie is healthy, up to date on her vaccines, and micrcohipped.
If you feel this beauty is right for you, and you have completed your home interview and been approved, feel free to email email@example.com
QQ Lin adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Darria Fillmore
Meet QQ Lin, a darling, petite, white purebred female Labrador of 4 years. QQ Lin is cheery, smiley, sweet, and wonderful in every way.
This girl comes to us from our sister rescue in Taiwan where she was saved from a horrible life of abuse. QQ Lin lived in a bathroom for 2 years and was regularly beaten. It is a wonder she survived at all, let alone blossomed into one of the happiest, most well adjusted dogs we have met.
QQ Lin is wonderful in her fsoter home. She is fostered with several other Labradors and Golden Retrievers and loves them all. She is not hyper or crazy playful but she does engage in nice play and she just loves keeping company with the other dogs. She also loves dog park where she greets and makes friends wtih every person and dog who enters.
QQ Lin is a good girl in the car and house. She seems to have the doggie door down pat after working with treat training and she is using it to let herself in and out to potty. She sticks to the doggie toys but doesn't have that much interst in them. She does like carrying a tennis ball around and making cute faces.
QQ Lin is being crate trained in her foster home. She is a good girl in her crate and is sleeping the night through. She doesn't snore even so she is a nice bedroom buddy her foster mom says.
QQ Lin is a very special darling Lab. She will do great with children of any age and would love a friendly canine compainion. She is so easy going and well adjusted that she will work in most any home. Due to the horrible life she once had, we want her new home to be aces. To that end, her foster mommy will not entertain placement with any home where she will be all by herself all day alone. That just sounds lonely and miserable and we want her to have a more joyful doggie lifestyle.
QQ Lin is healthy, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you are approved to adopt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to be in her line up! If you are not approved to adopt, you may not recieve a response from us.
Parker Jones adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Mary Serles
Meet Parker Jones, a stunning, 2 year old, purebred male Labrador Retriever. This handsome boy has excellent conformation, a jet black coat, perfect burnt sugar eyes and a big block head. It's not hard to see why our volunteers swooned over this heart throb!
Parker is a great size at about 65 lbs. He has a nice stocky Bench Bred English stature and an easy going, calm demenor. But he is a young boy and he has a fun spirit as well. We still can't believe this guy is a homeless orphan!!!!
Parker Jones comes to us from the Lancaster shelter which is a fairly high kill shelter where dogs - especially black ones - often don't make it out alive. Lucky for Parker Jones, a volunteer ran into him, fell head over heals in love, and the rest is history!
Parker is your typical 2 year old lab. He can be jumpy when excited and his foster mom is teaching him to greet people on all four paws. He is also known to put a couple paws up on the counter or table to search for food. So it is important that his new home not leave food on counter tops. But all this is very typical of young labs and is also easily fixed with some training.
Parker is fostered with 4 other female dogs and does great with all of them! Parker does great on his walks and meeting other dogs. He can pull a bit on leash at first, but settles in well after a few minutes. A few reminders from his new family to heel nicely and this boy will be a great walker in no time!
Parker settles beautifully in the house once he has had his exercise. But remember, at 2 years old he is really just beginning to be an adult since Labs are puppies for 2 full years - so he cannot be expected to settle nicely without his exercise first.
This boy is doing pretty well on his commands of sit, down and stay. Of course he is very motivated when there is a food reward involved, and a little less inclined to listen without the treat. He is learning more every day from his foster mom and with some additional training from his new family, his commands will be perfection in no time.
Parker is a real show stopper in the looks department. Most of the Indi volunteers were just floored by his beauty. He really is the kind of dog everyone comments on. What a gorgeous well bred Lab he is. To look at this beauty we cannot help but wonder how he ended up in the shelter.
Parker doesn't show much interest in doggie toys yet, perhaps he never saw a doggie toy before getting to his foster home. He also doesn't chase a ball for a game of fetch. We are sure he will discover what fun doggie toys and ball chasing can be with some time and will come to enjoy them as much as most labs do!
Parker is great in the car. He hops right in, sits right down to enjoy the ride and is a great companion! Whether running errands, taking him to dog park or hiking, he is a joy to have in the car.
Parker would do okay with children, but because he is young and jumpy, we will only consider children over age 7 for this boy. We do not know how he would do with cats, so we will not look to place him in a home with kitties at this time.
Parker would do well in a home with another doggie companion or as your one and only. This boy just needs a family who will provide him the love, reassurance, and continued training he needs to become a fabulous adult Lab!
Parker Jones is healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
If you feel this gorgeous boy is right for you, and you are an aproved applicant, please shoot an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com
Hobart adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Georgia Spogli
Hobart is an extremely special, loving, purebred Labrador of about 9 years. He is stately and handsome yet goofy and adorable all at the same time. He's just wonderful.
This sweet senior is a mellow, easy going boy who loves people and dogs and seems to be just fine with kitties too. He is a dog who has been dealt an unfortunate hand in life and yet seems to just be happy and celebrate each day. We could all learn a lot from Mr. Hobart the Labrador.
Hobart came to us after he was dumped on a freeway in Los Angeles. Yup people really do that. He was about the luckiest dog in the world because a good samaritan helped to wrangle him down an exit ramp and was actually able to catch this petrified boy. Talk about luck!
When we got Hobart he was in sorry shape. He was dirty and smelly and needed some TLC in a big way. He was originally a little distrustful but by the end or our evaluation session this teddy bear was laying in his evaluators lap begging for more kisses and belly rubs. There really is just nothing like a Labrador.
Hobart is a medium sized chocolate lab. He is at a good weight and can stay right where he is weight-wise. He has a nice big blocky head and that adorable jowly look so many of us love. He has a nice chocolate coat which will get darker over the next few months now that he is a "indoor" dog. No more outside living for this prince. He has nice big paws and an even bigger heart.
Hobart is learning all his commands and manners and housebreaking with easy. He is basically a couch potato most of the time with play sessions in between depending on what dog seeks his attention or what human wants to give him a walk or snuggles. He loves to snuggle with you on the couch while you watch TV or read. He's a great snuggler!
Hobart will do best in a home without small children and where he won't be left alone as an only dog for long, long hours. We say this because he deserves attention and companionship - even if with another dog - and because although he is lovely with kids and all people, he deserves to be the center of attention and not share it with little ones. Plus he could wiggle too much and knock a toddler down.
Hobart is recovering from his neuter and the removal of some lumps and bumps. He is doing great an sutures are coming out shortly so that he can meet families.
He is neutered and up to date on vaccines, microchipped and all we need now is the very best, most loving forever home for this special and regal example of our breed.
If you feel Mr. Gorgeous Hobart is right for you and you have a heart that is open to a gentle senior, please send off an email to Indilabgirl@gmail.com
If you are very, very, very lucky, this perfect angel could share the rest of his chocolate life in your home giving you all his chocolate kisses.
Linus adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Natalie Walters
Meet Linus one of the sweetest most loving purebred Labradors in the history of our rescue. He is a pure bred four and a half year old with a perfect temperament and a generosity of spirit we treasure.
Linus gets along with all dogs and is wonderful with children. He went from the love of his family who could no longer keep him due to their housing circumstances, to the love of a indilabrescue foster mother and will go to the love of his forever family without knowing any trauma along the way, just love.
When you give him hugs he is such a wiggle but that you can not help but laugh out loud.
This sweetheart has about 10 pounds to loose and it will come off easily with exercise and a strict diet of grain free food. The problem will be in not giving treats to this darling boy, just give him hugs and kisses instead. He is enjoying an organic carrot a day and ice cubes as treats in his foster home.
Linus loves to swim in his foster moms salt pool and to run after the ball and he also loves to please by being such a sweet boy.
Linus needs some leash training in order to be easy to walk on leash and may do best on a gentle leader or pinch collar.
He is house broken, up to date on his shots and flea medication and ready for his forever family. His new family will be so very lucky to have this loving Labrador.
We have not tested him with cats so no kitties for him.
He is also soft mouthed taking the smallest morsel of food with out bitting your fingers. Linus is simply a ten. He is being fostered with a Lab brother and sister in Santa Barbara.
Lovingly sponsored by Lauren Epstein in trubute to Bert the Golden who will be so very missed.
Puppy breath!!! We love it!!!!
We have two darling Labrador MIX puppies. These are NOT purebred Labrador puppies but are Lab mixes with shepard. They are about as cute as they come! These little pale yellow butterballs are adorable. Both are females and sweet as sugar.
We are looking for approved Puppy proofed homes for them. Puppy homes must be very committed and ready to take on the responsibility, patience and contact attention puppy ownership requires.
At least one person must be home most of the time.
Puppy homes will need a crate to housebreak and safely contain a puppy.
These babies will go out on a spay agreement contract with a refundable deposit. The girls have their first round of vaccinations and have been wormed.
If you are an approved family with someone home most of the time, please email email@example.com for more info.
Webster adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Carol Sweeney in honor of the Goodman Family.
Meet Webster, a darling, cute, yellow male Labrador. This boy is a purebred Lab and probably AKC registered as he has no dew claws. He is about 3 years old and has the cutest yellow and white colored face!
Webster is a real cuddle bug liking nothing more than to be seated beside you with his head close to yours. He loves pats, and gives kisses!
Hard to believe that Webster came to us from a shelter where no one came to claim him. Well thank goodness he came to IndiLab so we can find him the fabulous forever home he deserves!
Webster enjoys his walks - in fact, so much that he can pull on leash, so we recommend walking him with a pinch collar to make it much easier.
Webster definitely has had some training in his life! He sits on command, and is almost 100% on his down command too. A little bit more training and he will be perfect on all his commands! He is a fun boy to train as he wants to please his person.
Webster is very good with other dogs. He does great with the two female labs he is fostered with - one is a dominant alpha female and Webster doesn't seem to care at all. He seems to just get along with everyone!
Since Webster thinks kitties are something to chase, we do not recommend a home with kitties for Webster.
Webster is a youngster at age 3 so he will need good daily exercise like most young labs do. He would love hikes, perhaps a jog, and of course loves his walks. He would enjoy a home with or without another doggie companion.
Webster does very well in the car and he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate at his foster home.
Webster is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is a lovely family to take him home!
If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to submit an application to adopt and follow up with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
River adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Martin David
If you are looking for a pratically perfect, easy, mellow dog who is good with all dogs and a perfect gentlemen in the house, look no further! Meet River, a beautiful purebred yellow male Labrador. This yellow guy is just about 4-5 years old and couldn't be a happier boy. He is a Dudley meaning he has the yellow coat and the liver eyeliner and nose. Many people just adore the Dudleys!
This boy is a very mellow dog. He is a perfect houseguest and a very gentle guy. He has some of the best temperament we have seen.
River came to us from a very high kill shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia. It's not too hard to see why we grabbed this prize! He is just a love bug.
River is doing great in his foster home. He is very good with the older female lab he is fostered with. In fact, he is good with all other dogs and of course adores people! He is a gentle, easy going boy who takes everything in stride - not at all phased by any of it! He passes other dogs on leash beautifully and doesn't react at all to barking dogs.
This guy is non-destructive, not a barker and is a nice cruiser on a walk. He loves his walks and walks well on leash right next to you. He enjoys his doggie toys in his foster home and tennis balls too, so he would love a home where he has lots of fun toys to play with and keep him entertained!
River is all about love and affection. This boy just LOVES to be pet! He would likely sit up next to you all day if you just keep petting him. He adores being pet on his head and getting kisses from his people. Or maybe it's his people who love to give him kisses - either way River happily enjoys it all.
River will also do fine with children. He's can be wiggly at times so could accidentally knock a todder over. He will do best with children over 7.
River is a medium energy boy. He needs his daily exercise of a nice walk, perhaps a hike or trip to dog park once and awhile too. He settles beautifully at home after his exercise.
River is very good about not going on the furtiture unless you invite him. And if he does, he corrects easily and immediately.
River is completely housebroken and is totally trustworthy in the house. He's a perfect houseguest!
River will do well as your one and only or with another doggie companion. River was briefly tested with cats, and he did well with one very dog savvy cat who stood his ground. But River did want to chase the other cat who wanted to run and hide. So only dog-savvy cats will be considered for him and if you have cats, keep in mind it may take a few days for River and your cats to get accustomed to each other.
River is neutered, up to date on vaccines, flea control, and microchipped. All he needs now is a family to call his own!
If you think River is the boy for you, be sure to complete an application to adopt and then follow up with an email to email@example.com
Hope Winter adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Alexa Gohlich
Presenting Hope Winter, a young 2 year old gorgeous purebred AKC yellow female Labrador. Hope is a light cream or white colored lab. She is really a beautiful purebred Labrador and is a nice smaller size at 65 pounds.
This girl is still a youngster at only 2 years. She has a friendly happy disposition and really loves to play with other dogs and meet new people. Hope came to us when her family had to move and could no longer keep her. Hope is a purebred AKC Lab and was purchased from a reputable breeder as a puppy. She was given some training, but her family had not kept up with it, so she is learning again how to be the best girl she can be! Hope has now been professionally trained and now knows her commands of sit and down, and is learning stay and more! Typical for a young Labrador, she has a tendency to jump when she is excited. She is learning to greet people on all fours and will need some reinforcement from her new family on this.
Hope can pull on leash at first, but she has learned how to heel next to her human on walks as long as you remind her that is what you expect! She settles in right next to you at a good pace once she is reminded to heel.
Hope is fabulous with all other dogs! She has been fostered with dogs both small and large and does great with all of them! She loves to have a playful companion at home and also loves to cuddle up for naps with her 5 pound little foster dog sister - it's darling to see! We do not know how Hope will do with kitties, so we prefer not to place her with them at this time.
This extremely healthy, young Labrador will need good daily exercise. She should do a good jog or long walk everyday and would love hikes or jogs on the weekends. She would also loves trips to dog park where she can play with other doggie friends!
Hope would do great in a home with another playful doggie companion, or as your one and only. She just needs a home that is committed to her daily exercise all young Labradors need and to continue the training she has already learned while with us!
While Hope would do fine with children, she is a little to jumpy and wiggly for little kids, so we would prefer to place her in a home with children age 7 and older.
Hope loves to get attention from her person and can be excitable when meeting new people. She is a beautiful girl - she gets compliments on her looks wherever she goes!
Hope is housebroken, sleeps soundly in her crate at night and settles well during the day after she has had her exercise.
Hope is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, flea control and heartworm prevention. She is also microchipped.
If you feel this gorgeous youngster is right for you, please be sure you have been homechecked and approved and then follow up with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Posey adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by David Willis
Meet Posey, a one year old delicate little girl. She is a darling Golden Retriever / Labrador Retriever mix with the heart of a retriever through and through. She is one spunky, sweet, youngster!
Posey was found at a high kill shelter with some scrapes and bruises. She hasn't shared what happened with us. She is in perfect health with only a few spots where her fur was clipped for treatment. We feel sad that she eneded up there but we are forever grateful to have this doll in our care now and to be there to help her find the very best forever home!
Posey is a very calm puppy, not destructive and an angel in the house. She is house trained and a lovely home guest. She is learning the ropes in her foster home and they are loving having her there.
Posey loves to be with her people and rides well in the car on trips. Well, she does want to ride shotgun, preferably on a lap, but is delicate about it.
She really is a good little girl but of course she is young so there are times she can be busy. She loves lots and lots of toys to carry about and things to do. She especially loves squeaky toys. Her new home should plan on lots of toys, kongs, squeaky toys and rope toys. She would also enjoy the occasional bully stick!
This young girl would love a home where she can go to dog park or do other fun outings with other dogs. And she would love a patient owner to help her overcome her occasional shyness as well.
She is in foster care with six other dogs and learning how to play tug and tumble. She does not bark or growl and sits patiently for her dinner to be served. She is just a good girl with a heart of "gold!"
Posey needs training but is gentle on the leash and doesn't pull. She will do very well in a puppy class because she only wants to please you and she will be a fabulous candidate to eventually earn her Canine Good Citizen Certification!
Since she is so young, her Golden feathers are still comeing in and even though she is a slight mix, she has a golden heart and attitude. It doesn't gome any better!
Meet Dollie, a lovely, well trained yellow female Lab. This lovely girl is truly 7 years young! She is a light yellow color - almost white and has a soft lovely coat.
Dollie has a sad story like so many of the dogs we rescue. She was found running on the side of a freeway with another dog. A lovely woman and her boyfriend found both dogs and thankfully rescued them without injury! Her owners were searched for endlessly, but no one ever claimed her after weeks of trying. Once it became clear that she had no owners coming for her, the family who found her contacted us to help find her a new home.
Dollie is completely housebroken, knows how to use the doggy door and is having such a good time at her foster home! She has been fostered with other dogs both big and small and gets along great with all of them! Dollie truly is fabulous with every other dog she meets!
This girl is so happy, wiggly and lovable! She loves greeting people on her walks and loves greeting other dogs too! Everyone comments on how happy she is - smiling all the time!
Dollie is really good on leash. She will pull a little bit at first, but then she settles right in to walk your pace with you! She has also been on a couple hikes with her foster mom and she enjoyed them greatly! She truly is a healthy, happy girl with lots of life in her!
Dollie is not jumpy or mouthy, so she would be a very good choice for a family with kids. She also knows her commands of sit and down and takes treats very gently! What a good girl. Dollie really enjoys her car rides. She will hop right in the car on her own and just lay down to enjoy the ride.
This girl is really so easy to have around. She has the happy labby temperament we all love and she can go anywhere with you. You could take her to work with you, run errands with her or simply drop the kids off at school with her. She is just fabulous!
Dollie would do best in a home with another doggie companion - either big or small. She is not playful with other dogs, but she does enjoy their companionship. She is comfortable being left with another dog while you are at work during the day and she is not destructive at all. She enjoys lounging around the house and will let herself out the doggie door for potty breaks. Dollie is a low to medium energy girl who would love her daily walks, would even enjoy other fun activities like dog park, dog beach or even a hike. She settles fabulously in the house and is a mellow, easy going girl around the home. She is also very well mannered in the home, no counter surfing. She also sleeps soundly on a dog bed in your room during the night without making a sound.
Dollie is a healthy girl who is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. All she needs now is a new loving home to call her own.
If you would like to add Dollie to your home, be sure to complete an application and then send an email to email@example.com

Oh Chester! You handsome, adorable, big puppy man you! Just look at this gorgeous 9 month old purebred Golden Retriever. He is one cutie looking for a fabulous home.
Chester is a darling purebred boy who is still a baby at 9 months. He is a beautiful boy with a beautiful coat and he has a wonderful temperament. He just loves everyone
Chester come to us from a home where his young owner went back to college after buying a puppy. Obviously this doll would never have gotten all of the training and socializing he would have gotten had he not gone to someone so young and unable to provide for him. So Chester is now with us and he is doing well learning the ropes.
Chester is young and playful and slightly shy. He has a lot of energy and will need a home able to take him to dogpark or on jogs or hikes. He also needs some training so a nice obedience class would be lovely for this sweet fella. We think he will shine in a teenage obedience class and make all the other owners jealous.
Chester is a perfect example of what happens when somoene goes out and spends a lot of money on a purebred puppy without realizing the commitment of owning a dog. Lucky for Chester, his owner was smart enough to realize this and give him up to us. Now he can go to a forever home that is committed to owning a dog.
Chester is a showstopper for sure. He is just beautiful. And his heart is beautiful as well. He will make someone a fine family companion.
He will do fine with cats and loves all dogs. He likes to play so another doggie companion might be nice for him. He's a big boy and a wiggler so no children under age 7 please.
His new home will have plenty of toys, give plenty of exercise, and be patience with owning a youngster.
Chester is neutered, up to date on vaccines and looking for the very best home ever.
If you feel this guy is right for you and you have been approved to adopt, please shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Princess Bunny adopted!
Lovingly sponsored by Greg Kennedy
Meet Princess, a darling, English, Bench Bred female made of of chocolatey goodness! This sweet girl is about 5 years old and absolutely perfection. She is so darn cute that we can't even look at her without smiling.
Princess is what we call a "therapy quality dog" meaning she can easily qualify for her Canine Good Citizen certification and her Therapy Dog certification. She is pretty bombproof and is very special. Her gentle, calm and non-aggressive nature make her a lovely girl for children, cats, and almost any family.
Princess is a beautiful dog. She was clearly used for breeding and has recently had a litter so her belly is still a little saggy. But this will shrink up nicely over the next few weeks so you can't even tell.
Princess was turned into a high kill county sheler by her owner who said he didn't want her anymore. How could anyone not want this sweet girl? Well frankly we are glad that happened becuase her owner didn't deserve her. Not at all. She is just too special and perfect. Now Princess has a second chance!!!!!!!!
Princess is a beautiful chocolate female with a blocky head and stocky stature - just as a Lab should be. She is as darling on the inside as the outsdie and will be the perfect family dog.
In typical Lab fasion she loves everyone and every dog. She is happy all the time and she is a fabulous wiggler.
Princess is housebroken and is not destructive. She likes to play a little with her fsoter brother and she likes the ball but overall she is a mellow girl.
She LOVES her walks more than anything. She likes 2 nice walks a day and settles down into a couch potato!
Princess is a delicate eater and likes to take a bite, walk away, and then come back for another bite. It's so cute. She is not food aggressive and she takes treats nicely.
This precious girl is pretty perfect. Whoever is lucky enought to bring Princess home will have a truly lovely wonderful family companion.
Princess is healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchip.
If you think this doll is a great match for your home, please be sure you have FIRST been approved to adopt. Then feel free to email email@example.com
Benning adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Lynn Hardin
Meet Benning, a purebred English bench bred Labrador. This 7-8 year old black boy has a stocky body and a nice blocky head. He's beautifully bred and is a dog everyone loves. He has a darling expression and is as sweet and darling as he looks.
Benning is a nice smaller sized boy for a male lab. He is a shorter, stalkier English bench bred boy. He is really the most mellow easy going boy who is perfect with all people, and kids. He loves everyone and is a very easy boy to have.
Benning is about 10 pounds overweight, so his new family will need to continue his limited kibble diet and daily walks to ensure he sheds some extra pounds.
Benning came to us from a very high kill shelter on the outskirts of Los Angeles. This boy spent over a week waiting in the shelter for his family to come claim him, but no one ever came. On his very last day, with very little time left, we were lucky enough to have a volunteer meet and fall in love with this boy. And then he became an IndiLab dog, on his way to a loving new life!
Benning is a great dog. His perfect temperament makes him far and away a star among Labbies. He takes treats very gently, and will sit on command! He is learning his down command and often will "stay" on command already.
He's a medium energy to super mellow boy. He loves his walks and is good on a leash. He's easy to walk and he greets other dogs so nicely that walking him is a pleasure. Benning's favorite thing is to act like he will take himself for a walk. When you put the leash on him to go out for his walk, he will put the end of the leash in his mouth and prepare to walk himself - it's just darling!
Benning loves all other dogs and is friendly to everyone. He likes being near his person like most Labs and will follow you around the house. He is a mellow guy around the house and enjoys relaxing on the couch if you allow him. If you prefer he not be on furniture, he corrects very easily and will get off with ease.
He will do great in a home where someone will give him a nice walk each day and he would love another friendly canine companion if you are gone for long work days. He is a great dog to take to the beach or even to other peoples houses as you never need to worry about him with people or other dogs.
Benning sleeps soundly on a dog bed all night long and doesn't make a peep. He is also a great car rider and will hop in and settle right down to snooze for the ride. Benning is the most mellow easy going English Lab around. Just perfection. A nice walk is more than enough exercise for this fairly mellow English Lab. He's a calm lovely boy.
Benning is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. All he needs now is a lovely family to take him home! If you think this is the boy for you, be sure to submit an application to adopt and follow up with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Apple adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Martin David
Meet Apple, an adorable purebred female Golden Retriever puppy. This little girl is 10 months old and only 38 tiny lbs. She is full grown and will aways be a little petite girl.
Apple is about as sweet as they come. It's hard to imagine such a cutie ending up in a shelter but she did and when our volunteer picked her up, she was filthy, covered in fleas, and petrified. Very sad for such a nice, girl.
Apple is doing so much better now. She is happy, housebroken, loving her toys and foster siblings and just enjoying being a puppy.
In typical puppy fashion this doggie loves to play and sleep. She will play with her toys for an hour and then pass out in the middle of her toy pile. It's just adorable. She is quite shy especially at first and she will not do well with young children due to noise and high activity. She is just too shy for the hustle and bustle.
Apple loves to retrieve. She is ball crazy. She will go for the ball for as long as you throw it and then dome. And she loves carrying soft toys in her mouth. She is a true retriever. She loves to go to dog park.
Apple loves going off leash on hikes and enjoys dog park. Of course as dog park she is more interested in getting the ball than playing but since she is usually with a bunch of other Labs and Goldens, she fits right in!!! At home though, she will play and play with the 2 labs she is fostered with.
Apple is crate trained and a good girl in her crate. She sleeps through the night without a peep.
Apple is good on the leash and has learned to walk nicely. She is still learning her commands but wants to please.
She is not a hyper puppy. She's actually a pretty calm and easy girl. She sticks to her toys and entertains herself. However she is a baby and as such requires a puppy proof home with someone around most of the time and another friendly canine companion if possible.
Apple really needs someone willing to accept her for who she is - meanins someone willing to let her come out of her shell at her pace, enjoy life, and be a puppy. There are times she will be VERY mellow and want to sleep and times she will only want to play. She's a complicated special soul.
Apple is one special girl. She is healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped.
Meet Coco Bean, an A-Dor-A-Ble chocolate chunky baby bear cub of a purebred Lab who is just so cute we can barely look at her! This doll baby is 6 years old, sweet as sugar and very special.
Coco Bean came to us when her family lost their home and were no longer able to care for her or her brother (another dog who went to another rescue). We know Coco was loved but also we could see that she was a little neglected too. Her family overfed her and left her outstide quite a bit without much exercise. Consequently our sweet girl is a little overweight. She has already lost a few pounds and should be a normal weight in a couple of short weeks as she is eating less and taking her daily walks which she just loved.
Coco Bean is a perfect Bench Bred English Labrador. She has the looks and the temperament we just adore in this breed. Typical of her pedigree, she is a fabulous wiggler, snuggler, kisser and smiler. She also has the market cornered and being cute and being friendly as can be to every person, dog and cat around.
Coco Bean loves other dogs. She would love to have a doggie companion. That said she is currently fostered alone and is doing wonderfully. Of course she enjoys a trip to dog park or meeting some dog friends.
Coco is a medium energy Labrador. She will do well with 2 nice 1/2 hr walks a day at a moderate pace. She settles beautifully in the house, is housebroken, non-destructive, not a barker or a chewer, and is just a lovely houseguest.
Coco Bean is a dog who can easily certify for therapy work if you wanted to work on her just a little bit. She loves people so much and might be a nice candidate to go into hospitals and visit children. She will do breat in a home with kids over age 5 years of age.
This sweet girl has it all except the right forever home. If you feel you have the perfect home to offer Coco Bean and you have been approved to adopt, feel free to contact her respresentative.
Coco Bean is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
If you are approved to adopt and would like to be considered as a forever home for Coco Bean, please email email@example.com
Wilson adoption pending!
Lovingly sponsored by Gineen Boukalell and family in memory of their Labby Onyx
Meet Wilson, a 1-2 year old, petite, wonderful black purebred Labrador boy. He has a glossy jet black coat, nice otter tail and a stunning Labrador block head. He's a very pretty fellow.
Hard to believe this gorgeous gentleman was found in one of Los Angeles County's highest kill shelters where no one claimed him or gave him a second look. Well fine with us becuase purebred Lab enthusiasts will do nothing but swoon for this gorgeous hunk! But what's the real score? His personality. He is beautiful but it's his heart that steals the show!
Wilson is a typical bouncy boy around other labs, and wants to play, play play. He is a fabulous candidate for dog park and dog beach and he just loves other dogs.
Even though this fella is very bouncy and playful, get him in the house on his own, and he just settles right down beside you for pats and love. then, he wants to return the love by cleaning your entire face for you with kisses. He loves snuggling.
Wilson hasn't had much leash training, so a pinch collar helps him to walk nicely on leash. He is doing better each day and will continue to improve his skills with daily walks. He likes meeting other dogs and is a friendly fellow.
Wilson loves dog but what's also nice is that he has been around his foster mom's cats and hasn't shown any interest in the house. Of course, these are dog savvy cats, but we do think that he will do fine in a home with kitties.
Wilson is a good boy inside and settles down nicely inside so long as he has had exercise. He will play and play if he is with a playful young dog, but will chill out if he is with the older dogs.
What is very cute is that Wilson tries to bring in the mail, but the silly stuff keeps sliding out of his mouth! Maybe with practice this guy can fetch your morning paper.
Wilson loves the 13 and 17 year old boys in the house but probably would be too bouncy and too mouthy for young children, so we don't really recommend placing him with children under the age of 10.
He will be happy as your one an only, or with a doggy companion. But since he is young, his new owner will want to provide ample play time and exercise.
Wilson is crate trained and sleeping through the night. He is doing great on his potty training as well!
Wilson is going to make some family very happy. With a little more training (he has a fabulous sit) he will be an amazing family companion.
If you feel this boy is right for you and you are APPROVED to adopt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Shira adoption pending!
Meet Shira, a darling, petite little purebred Golden Retriever girl with a heart as golden as her smile.
This little girl is aobut 14 months old and is only 50 little sweet pounds. She is a lovely girl who is well behaved in the house and a pleasure as a house guest. She does like to snuggle up on the couch, but then again, why shouldn't she?
Shira loves other dogs and is enjoying playing with her foster siblings. She is always up for a game of ball and is good about sharing with her foster friends.
We think Shira spent most of her young life confined possibly to a crate. And we are fairly certain she was partially abused. She is low on confidence and this gentle girl really will do best in a home committed to letting her come out of her shell and shine.
Shira has absolutely no aggression and is very good with all people - even children. However because it is her time to be number one, and becuase of her shyness, we prefer to place Shira in a home without small children. Children over 12 who have a soft touch will work fine.
Shira is very good on the leash and doesn't pull. She passes other dogs nicely and enjoys her walks.
Shira is very good in the house and housebroken. We think she will do best without a crate since we believe she was confined too much in her former life.
Shira is a medium energy girl who loves her walks. She will do nicely at dog park where she can continue to socialize and enjoy play with other dogs. She will be great at dog beach too once she is bonded to her person and has a good recall.
This gentle, sweet pretty girl deserves the best home. She is a golden treasure!
Shira is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you feel this little sweetie is right for you, and you have been approved to adopt, please email email@example.com
Mia 2 adopted!
This little sweetheart is Mia. She is a petite, purebred white Labrador female with an adorable disposition and a good heart. She is 5 years old and 49 snuggly little pounds.
Mia is quite special. This loving wiggler comes to us from Taiwan where she was pulled out of a government pound. In general this is a death sentence for dogs so Mia was lucky a rescuer brough her to safety! Mia came to rescue in not great shape and it took some time to bring her weight up and take good care of her.
After a few months in foster and with outstanding medical care, this perfect girl was cleared to come to the United States to us. We feel so honored and blessed to be a part of such a special dog's journey to a new life.
Mia is wonderful in just everyway. She is a lovely houseguest. She is housebroken and uses the doggie door to go potty. She is non-destructive in the house, and she doesn't even attempt to get on the furniture.
Mia is wonderful with all other dogs. She is friendly and subissive and happy. She is a low key girl and doesn't get too excited but will partake in play now and then. She loves the company of other dogs. Mia is also very good with cats and pretty much ignores them.
She likes her crate and will sleep through the night. Her foster mom makes the crate very comfy for Mia and puts it in her bedroom so Mia is close. She probably doesn't need the crate at all, be it is always nice to crate train every dog so that they have their own safe, snuggly place to sleep.
Mia is wonderful on the leash and does not pull. She loves her walks and will do a nice 1/2 hour walk with you if you like. She can do a short hike too if you want. Also she loves dog park and enjoys meeting everyone and saying hello to people and dogs.
Mia is good with kids but doens't love them. Loud noisy kids annoy her and sometimes scare her. She's a zen doggie. She will be so perfect for a dog loving household maybe with another friendly canine buddy to hand out with. We won't place her as an only dog if she is to be alone all day. She is used to the company of other dogs and feels happiest that way.
Mia is a healthy spayed female. She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
Meet Berkeley, a gorgeous, stately, white purebred male Labrador. Berkeley has a nice blocky head and is a medium sized male at 75 lbs. He is an absolute show stopper.
Berkeley is an easy going, medium energy 5 year old boy. He's pure joy to have in the house and by your side. He loves his walks, loves being out and about, and loves all people and dogs. Plus he's drop dead gorgeous!
Berkeley came to us from a high kill county shelter where he arrived as a stray with his "mate" Jelly, a Golden Retriever female who we also rescued and who has since been adopted from us.
Berkeley is very good with other dogs and is currently fostered with several other Labs and a Golden Retriever. He is great with all of them. He seems to really like other dogs. Berkeley will do very nicely with another canine companion - especially a female (though a male can work too).
Berkeley is not good with cats. He chases them and is far to intersted in them to be placed in a cat home.
He'll do well with teenagers but is a bit goofy for kids. He is a larger lab and he could accidently knock a toddler down.
He loves to retrieve a ball and is good about returning it. And he loves his walks. He tends to pull in the beginning but stops once he's in a pace. His new owner will need to continue working with him and probably should use a pinch collar until he totally gets that pulling in not a good thing. Though he is mellow and easy, we think he will love hikes and even jogging with his person if they desire. He is a great combination of mellow, and happy cruising companion when you are in the mood. Actually we think he's quite perfect.
He gets super excited at walk time and will try to get out the door so it's important to continue teaching him to wait and get his leash on. He loves going out with his person.
Berkeley has been doing well on his housetraining and crate training. He sleeps through the night without a peep.

Meet Judson, a handsome English style lab with that gorgeous stocky body and such a heart-melting, wrinkly, gorgeous Labby face.
Judson is 3 years old and is a calm, easy-going boy. He has a lovely temperament and he is a total love bug. This fella is a prize.
Judson knows his basic commands and has been a well-mannered boy for his foster family. We can tell someone paid a pretty penny for him and worked with him at some point. He was not abused or horribly neglected. Yet somehow he lost his home. Whoever adopts this doll will be fortunate indeed as he is a wonderful friend and pure joy to have in the home.
Judson came to us from a high kill shelter on the first day he was available. We were so happy to get him out of there as he was such a love bug to all who saw him. He seemed so happy to be free!
He rode home nicely in the car and fit right in with his three foster brothers and sister in his temporary home. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and loves everyone.
Judson is a very quiet, very calm boy. He loves to be where you are, but also likes to have his own space. He loves to be pet and get attention but he is never overbearing. If you want he'll roll over on his back and cry with pleasure at a belly rub, but when you are done, he'll just settle near you just in case you change your mind.
Judson absolutely loves his walks. He gets very excited when the leashes come out, and has a tendency to pull. But his foster Dad is working with him on his leash skills and he's getting better every day. He is great at meeting other dogs too and passes them nicely.
Judson has not been introduced to cats, so no homes with cats for this boy.
Judson is a lower energy mellow guy, who doesn't really seem interested in a game of ball toss..mostly just wants a nice walk and belly rub.
Meet Autumn, a beautiful and perfect AKC registered purebred Labrador Retriever. Autumn has a heart of gold and is pure sweetness.
She is 7 years young and is a calm, easy going girl. Already knows her commands and is a well behaved houseguest. Autumn doesn't ever try to get on the furniture which is a first for most Labs!
Autumn came to us from her owner who loved her very much but who did not have time to care for her due to her job and increasing travel responsibilities. Though Autumn was loved and cared for, her former family spayed her late in life and because of that, Autumn developed mammary tumors which we had to remove. Thank goodness this girl is healthy and all is well and she is recovered from her surgery.
Autumn is a very quiet, very calm girl. She loves to be where you are, but also likes to have her own space. She loves to be pet and get attention but she is never overbearing.
Autumn absolutely loves her walks. She likes to do a nice 2 miles at a good clip and then she starts to slow down a little and sniff around. She is very good on the leash and great at meeting other dogs, however if she sees a cat, she will pull to try to go meet it. She is curious about cats and probably needs a home without them.
Autumn was not permitted in the house for the last few years. She is just learning to relax inside again and is enjoying it. She will come right in the front door, but at the back door she waits to come in becuase she has been taught not to come into the house from the yard. This is improving as she is learning that inside is HER house too!!! Just as it should be!
Autumn thinks the backyard is for belly rubs, not chasing balls. She might chase a ball now and then but mostly it's just about the belly rubs.
Autumn loves being brushed and getting pet. She is very good inside and is not a counter surfer at all. She even ignored food left out accidentally on the coffee table! That's a first!
She likes to sleep in the hallway or living room. She seems to prefer this to sleeping next to her foster mom in the bedroom.
Autumn is completely housebroken too. And she is not a barker. We have heard her bark three times in her entire time in foster and each time is was on adorable "woof".
This special loving dog deserves the most wonderful home. She really is the nicestly sweetest thing.
Autumn is healthy, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Clyde 2 adopted!
Meet Clyde. Clyde is a super adorable, happy Labrador Retriever. He is a male of about 5 years and has a soft, gorgeous pale yellow coat. Clyde is an English or Bench bred Lab meaning he is a stocky guy with a nice blocky Labrador head.
This fella is about 75 lbs and is a pale yellow - almost white color. Clyde was found wandering the streets of Taiwan. He was taken in by a local rescuer and eventually was sent to us after being cared for and vetted and made healthy. His rescuers in Taiwan took excellent care of Clyde and did so much for him. Clyde gained weight, was neutered, and was fostered there before he was brought to us.
This easy going boy takes life in stride. After a 24 hour plane trip, Clyde jumped into the backseat of his foster’s car, laid down, and went to sleep. He does amazing on car rides and is a mellow boy. Other than some minor anxiety from time to time when he is left alone, Clyde is the calmest guy around.
Clyde is a great dog. He absolutely loves everyone and everything. He likes other dogs and gets along with the two labs he is fostered with. He is just a very happy typical Lab in every way. He likes to follow his foster mom everywhere and to lie at her feet. He would enjoy having an owner who works out of the home so he can supervise all day! Or would like to go to work with his person. He is definitely well behaved enough to do so!
Besides being hands down the most adorable Labrador this boy's temperament is sweet. His doggie social skills are great and he loves all people. He was a complete gentleman during a Christmas party at his foster mom’s house. Many of the guest commented on how well he fit in.
Clyde is a very good boy. He sleeps nicely on his dogbed and has learned to use the doggie door to go potty. He is learning his basic commands and knows how to sit. He almost never barks at all and seems quite trustworthy in the house.
Clyde enjoys his walks around the neighborhood but probably would not make a great running partner. He enjoys a casual stroll with a few stops to chat with the neighbors. Clyde likes to carrying soft toys in his mouth. Since he loves the soft toys, he may confuse children’s stuffed animals with his own toys which is to be expected with all dogs. Clyde can be a little mouthy but he uses no pressure with his mouth - just soft grabs to tell you he loves you.
Clyde is about as close to perfection as you can get. If you are looking for a medium energy happy guy who loves to be your buddy, this is the guy.
Clyde will do best in a home with another friend dog or two to keep him company. He likes a lot of attention and love all the time.
Clyde is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. If you think this fella is right for you, please be sure you have been approved to adopt and then follow up with an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
